In Postbaby, the postman recalls a journey that involved a parcel, two girls and a sheep. For Postbaby I was interested in the fragile nature of human memory and video data. Digital memory is often perceived as stronger and less impervious to damage than human’s but video and images can be corrupted the more it is processed, similar to how humans’ stories change over time. Postbaby is based on true stories of babies being posted in the early days of postal service worldwide. Many of the backdrops were derived from following those past babies’ journeys via google maps.
